RUDERAL

Our multi-purpose modular system is a pioneering organism. Botanically speaking. Hardy and humble, it thrives in uninhabitable wastelands. Asylum centers. Refugee camps. Yet it also permeates spaces that seem to be destined for transience. Office foyers. Public squares. Similarly to lichen or fungi, Ruderal transforms these neglected areas into places brimming with diverse life. The first prototype features 3D printed modules from recycled polymer, made by PRUSA LAB, nevertheless, various material variants will be offered. Modules are also are easy to mix, match, and maintain. Following the formula of co-design, it makes a perfect fit for the everyday flow of life. It doesn’t matter if you need a bench, a whiteboard stand, or just a bit of privacy — Ruderal can be modified by any user, right on the spot. Simply. Inclusively. Playfully.
